Message from our TVR Region
Director
Welcome to the Tennessee Valley Region Website! We are glad you are visiting the website of the Tennessee Valley Region of The Embroiderer's Guild of America, Inc. We hope you will find it a great site to explore. EGA's goal is to teach us new skills as well as enhance our love of the art of embroidery. Our most recent regional seminar, Share-a Stitch 31, held in Birmingham, Alabama this past June was a wonderful time enjoyed by all. At our seminars we usually offer nine classes, a bookstore, boutique, silent auction, merchandise night, banquet and Thursday night program. Now we look forward to SAS 32 in the mountains of East Tennessee at the Kingsport, TN Meadowview Conference Resort and Convention Center next June 21-24, 2012. Mark your calendar now to join us! Registration brochures will be available after the first of the year. The brochure will be posted here so keep checking this site! For those who may be visiting our site for the first time we hope you will join us at a local chapter near you. If you do not have a chapter that is close by, we offer the Cyberstitchers Chapter. This chapter is open to all embroiderers wherever you may reside. Please click on the “Chapters by State” on the left side of your screen to find a chapter that fits your needs. We welcome primary members, plural members and members-at-large. To all members of TVR our next scheduled board meeting is Friday, November 4, 2011 in Chattanooga, TN. If you are not currently a member of EGA or if you are a member and seeking a new home, we hope you will join us. Our membership is open to all who love to stitch and our members range from novice to master craftsman. Anyone may become a member-at-large, chapter member, or a life member. There are 13 regions in the US and TVR includes chapters in Kentucky, Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia (except for a small area around Savannah), the western part of Virginia and West Virginia, eastern portion of Mississippi, and Cyberspace.
